TRUU Committees

TRUU committees are being formed now.

All members and friends are welcome to participate.

Check out the descriptions below and send us an email if you wish to volunteer.

We need people to serve on the following committees (one year term). Each committee has a board member liason, and committees will work closely with the board to accomplish their goals. This is an excellent opportunity to get involved and help build our TRUU fellowship.

Worship Committee:

The worship committee‘s job is to coordinate with the minister and musicians. For non-service Sundays, the committee will create programs using primarily UU materials.

Program Committee:

Organizes service set-up, flowers, coffee, snacks and lectern.

Religious Exploration Committee:

This committee should include parents and educators, who will review UU program materials and advise the RE professional regarding the program.

Communications Committee:

Duties include web site maintenance, advertising, emails and promotion of any special events.

Membership Committee:

The membership committee greets members, friends, and newcomers at services and coffee hour; maintains name tags;  keeps information packets up to date; has new attendees fill out information forms; and does follow-up with new attendees.

Social Justice Committee:

This committee will propose community social justice projects, including 5th Monday, to the Board and will coordinate them for the congregation.

Caring Committee:

This committee is responsible for organizing help and support for members experiencing personal difficulties, without stepping over the line into a counseling role.   It serves as a liaison between our ministers and members/ friends of the congregation when appropriate. It is responsible for relaying news of concerns and celebrations to the communications committee, when appropriate.
