Rhythmic Entrainment

“Rhythmic Entrainment” (Does My Drop In The Bucket Count?)

The principle of rhythmic entrainment, which governs the entire universe, says that your drop in the bucket not only makes a difference, it could in fact turn the entire culture in a different direction. That is the principle we will be exploring during this Sunday.

World problems can fill us with despair. Nations choose war over diplomacy.  Prejudice runs rampant. It is easy to get discouraged and hide in a comfortable cocoon of oblivion, where we “see no evil”. But when we give up, we allow the purveyors of evil to win.

Making it Happen! – Sat Jan. 22nd – Workshop with Rev. Latham

Get inspired and get involved in

“MAKING IT HAPPEN”

We are extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to attend a workshop that Rev. Latham gives throughout the U.S. and Canada.
All members and friends are encouraged to attend.

Rev. Latham will conduct this event at 2 p.m. Saturday January 22nd in the conference room of the River Valley Ranch clubhouse.

Principle: Leadership makes everything happen that is going to happen. TRUU has a vision of its future. Only leadership will empower this vision into reality.  This event is a major step toward enabling more powerful leadership.  It will include focuses such as:

Ø     What is a leader?

Ø     What is a leader’s joy?

Ø     What to do if you wish to fail

Ø     Recharging your battery

Ø     Why leadership relies on paradigm

Ø     Discussing your questions and issues

You can dance while the rest of us talk or you can talk while the rest of us dance.

Just be there!

Small Group Reflection – January 16th

Child Care Available

Our “Third Sunday” Religious Exploration program provides an opportunity for us to engage in small-group discussions. Topics for discussion are chosen by our ministers in connection with the theme of recent sermons.

Peter Westcott and Rev. Barbara Palmer will lead our group discussion this week.

This week’s topics for discussion, provided by Gretchen Haley and Rev. Robert Latham, are:

> In your own life, how has love changed you? How are you different as a result of the power of love? Share a specific story of how loving someone or being loved by someone changed something about you or the way you approach the world.

> Certainly stories like this past week’s shooting in Arizona challenge our capacity to consider everyone as our neighbor – to recognize everyone as our family, as ourselves.  In what ways are you challenged to love someone? What practices help you recognize “the other” as someone worthy of your love? >

> What is Rhythmic Entraiment all about?

> Why is commonality of mission and message the absolute key to a religious group’s capacity to transform the social order?

Join us Sunday, January 16th, to discuss provocative questions, share life experiences, and have some good laughs along the way!
