TRUU committees are being formed now.

We need people to serve on the following committees (one year term). Each committee has a board member liason, and committees will work closely with the board to accomplish their goals. This is an excellent opportunity to get involved and help build our TRUU fellowship.
Bill Spence (963- 2163) will be the board liaison and Cathy Schermer (927-9611) will serve as committee chair., To date, probable committee members are Judy Bartels, Nancy Barbee, Khaila Derrington.
The program committee‘s job for the 2nd and 4th Sundays will be to coordinate with the minister and musicians to produce and print the bulletin and to ensure that provisions are made for service set-up, flowers, coffee, snacks and lectern. For 3rd Sundays, the committee will create programs using primarily UU materials. Cathy will work with Gretchen & Robert on 3rd Sunday programs.
Religious Exploration Committee:
Joanne Clements (984-9713) will be board liaison. Committee chair is TBD. Possible additional members of this committee are Heather Rydell and Sara Jensen. This committee will recommend religious education teachers to the Board and construct an RE program for children and adults, subject to Board approval. Joanne was thanked for her long interest and involvement in our religious education.
Trina Haines (945-1590) will be board liaison. Sue E. will serve on this committee and Amy Barr volunteered to work on this committee, with other members yet to be determined. Duties of this committee will include web site maintenance, advertising, emails and promotion of any special events.
Thelma Zabel (945-8278) will be the Board liaison, with committee chair TBD. The membership committee will help maintain existing members, get feedback from members, as well as contacting new or potential members. Committee members will also arrange greeting at services and coffee hour; maintain name tags and set up a check-in table at functions; keep information packets up to date; get contact information from new attendees and do follow-up with new attendees.
Social Justice Committee:
Kathy Feinsinger (963-8428) and Sue Coyle (963-7210) will be board liasons. Committee chair TBD. This committee will propose community social justice projects, including 5th Monday, to the Board and will coordinate them for the congregation. It will choose from its membersa replacement for Ed Perregaux, who wishes to step down from his post as liaison with the UUSC.
Trina (945-1590) will be the board liaison for the Caring Committee. Committee chair TBD. This committee will be responsible for organizing help and support for members who need it, without specifically offering personal or professional counseling. It will serve as a liaison between our ministers and members/ friends of the congregation when appropriate. It will also be responsible for relaying news of concerns and celebrations to the communications committee, when appropriate.

Bylaws Task Force. Please help rewrite By-Laws, which are insufficient for our group.
Service Leader Training. Service leaders welcome the group by opening the program and lighting the chalice, and then introducing the topic and minister.
