Our “Third Sunday” Religious Exploration program provides an opportunity for us to engage in small-group discussions. Topics for discussion are chosen by our ministers in connection with the theme of recent sermons.
Peter Westcott and Rev. Barbara Palmer will lead our group discussion this week.
This week’s topics for discussion, provided by Gretchen Haley and Rev. Robert Latham, are:
> In your own life, how has love changed you? How are you different as a result of the power of love? Share a specific story of how loving someone or being loved by someone changed something about you or the way you approach the world.
> Certainly stories like this past week’s shooting in Arizona challenge our capacity to consider everyone as our neighbor – to recognize everyone as our family, as ourselves. In what ways are you challenged to love someone? What practices help you recognize “the other” as someone worthy of your love? >
> What is Rhythmic Entraiment all about?
> Why is commonality of mission and message the absolute key to a religious group’s capacity to transform the social order?
Join us Sunday, January 16th, to discuss provocative questions, share life experiences, and have some good laughs along the way!
