On January 8th Two Rivers Unitarian Universalist received a $50,000 check in the offering plate from member Jim Calaway. Jim and Connie Calaway are committed members who have bettered our community by being generous philanthropists. Two Rivers Unitarian Universalist are thrilled to be among the many organizations supported by the Calaways. Board President Peter Westcott shared how this is part of a $120,000 pledge from the Calaways and is why Two Rivers can now have a 3/4 time minister living in Carbondale. Sue Coyle, former board president, shared how she feels so welcome and reassured that the community is there – when the rest of the world seems so uncertain, this community is a bedrock. Greg Feinsinger shared how grateful he is to Jim for helping the congregation grow. Anne Cerrone loves this congregation because of how it helps her have a moment of peace in her busy life and helps her boys grow. Nicolette Toussaint also shared how she is so glad to be part of a community that will help her through the good times as well as the bad.
The future is very bright for this community thanks to wonderful committed people like Jim and Connie Calaway. Thank you!
