Saturday, March 18, 9am – Start-up Workshop. Join our Unitarian Universalist rep, Rev. Deb Holder as she guides us through a fun and informative workshop so we can get our ministry off on the right foot!
Saturday, April 8, 2pm – Blessing of the Bicycles. Support Carbondale’s own bike project – Way of Compassion Bicycles and come get your favorite way to ride blessed at the blessing of the bicycles! All funds raised will help with community tune-ups and helping kids in our community get bicycles.
Sunday, May 14, 10am – This mother’s day celebrate with one of the most sacred traditions in Unitarian Universalism – the flower communion. Bring a flower to share, and take a new flower home!
General Assembly June 21-25 in New Orleans. This year’s Justice Assembly is sure to be a transformative experience with excellent workshops, speakers, and the election of a new UUA president!
Usually, the 4 corners retreat is the second weekend in July, so that would be the 8-10. Plan on coming to a fun campout with UUs from our region and listen to a wonderful guest minister!
The Russell Lockwood Leadership School is usually the last week of July, which would be the 24-28. Learn how to change lives in our community and congregation while changing yourself. Two scholarships available, apply now!
Ladies and women identified people, let’s have fun as females at the TRUU Chicks Camping Aug 11-13! A stunning new location has been scouted out by Amy Barr – so don’t miss out.
Our Town, Our Table is organized by Sondie Rieff and is an event you don’t want to miss for their lunar celebration! Perhaps TRUU can sponsor a Total Eclipse of the Heart table??
Save your waters all year long, because on September 10th we’ll be pouring them together for our Water Ceremony. Our sacred ritual of coming together is one of the best services we have all year, and our waters are used for baby dedications and to bring cheer to folks year round. Keep our community alive with the waters you bring!
On Saturday, October 7, at 10am we’ll bless the animal at the Colorado Animal Rescue. Bring your pet or a photo of your pet, and come and see all the animals that get blessed – Llamas, horses, donkeys, and a ferret or too.
Jimmy Byrne will organize another amazing music service on October 22nd. Think about that stunning solo you’re going to perform this year, and be ready to listen to the amazing music we’ll remember all year at the service!
On Saturday, November 4th, be there in person or by proxy for our annual auction. Jewelry, ping-pong parties, kayak trips, flight lessons, a house in Mexico and more are offered at our annual auction. A perfect thing to bring your friends too to support TRUU!
We recognize an amazing member of our community on November 12th at the annual social justice service. Don’t miss out on a meaningful service full of love and light!
Solstice Eve is December 20th and we’ll celebrate the last day of school – err – the longest night of the year by retelling the age old story of the Oak and Holly King. Don’t miss the kid’s pageant and beautiful pagan ritual that commemorates the season!
